Diskreetse Mango Trio performs folk music, mainly runo-songs, in the key of rock. Despite their name, Trio, they actually have eight members. This crowded band from Tallinn, Estonia has been active since 2005. They have been aiming to blend modern musical sensibilities, the different forms of pop and rock music with folk music and vice versa. The music made by Diskreetse Mango Trio has been described as fresh, energetic, joyful and very catchy. .... On November 27, 2006 Diskreetse Mango Trio released their debut-album “Prigadi-Pragadi” under the biggest Estonian record label, hyper.records. The band was awarded an Estonian Music Award in 2007 in the category “Ethno/Folk Act of the Year” for their debut-album and the record received very positive reviews by the Estonian and foreign music press. The songs from "Prigadi-Pragadi" have received airplay by radios both in Estonia and abroad.
