Tallinn Music Week is setting up an Estonian Music & Design Café at Positivus
For the upcoming weekend Tallinn Music Week will be heading to the biggest music festival of the Baltics, Positivus in Latvia. From Friday morning to early hours of Sunday the Tallinn Music Week’s Estonian Music & Design Caféwill welcome all friends and visitors. The caféis a cosy picnic area with Estonian design furniture, hand-picked by artists and designers Anni and Taavi Varm, and Etno.ee bean bags where guests can chill out and listen to a selection of the hottest Estonian music from headphones, while enjoying fruits and berries and famous Estonian kama smoothies.
Radio2 will be broadcasting live festival reports from the caféand you’ll have a chance of buying Estonian records there. During the two days some of the bands will step up with special acoustic concerts at the Music & Design Café terrace:

On Saturday, July 21st Tallinn Music Week stage will present TMW 2012 Skype award winner, the psychedelic noise-doom duo Talbot, Abraham’s Cafe will perform klezmer and Arab traditional music, Elephants from Neptune will play rock/blues, Animal Drama is known by its light, positive, melodic indie poprock, Tiit Kikas with eletric violin will produce new and strange sounds, State of Zoe will mix electronic and acoustic music, Dahling play rock with insight lyrics and Sethh makes vocal and witty experiments.

This year the Positivus festival guests will enjoy the widest range of the best and popular Estonian contemporary music.There will be 21 Estonian acts performing, in addition to the above mentioned: Malcolm Lincoln,Dave Storm, DJ Quest, Kienra & ЯVRS, Mimicry, Tenfold Rabbit, Ewert and the Two Dragons, Sander Mölder, Sibyl Vane, Tiger Milk, Zebra Island, Mr. Nestor ja OYT.
The largest music and art festival in the Baltic States will take place in Salacgriva, Latvia on July 20-21, for the sixth time.During the two days more than 60 local and international acts will be performing, including world famous Keane, Manic Street Preachers, Damien Rice, Instrumenti, The Vaccines, King Charles, Niki & The Dove, Friendly Fires, SBTRKT live, Givers, Jamie N Commons, Lucy Rose, Vondelpark etc.
TMW participation at Positivus is supported by Estonian Embassy in Latvia, Ministry of Culture and European Regional Development Fund through Enterprise Estoniain collaboration with Estonian Music Development Centre.
